The Muskingum Valley Chapter of the Red Cross is looking for more teams to participate in its annual golf outing.

Development Director Troy Alford said this is the 23rd year for the Disaster Relief Golf Outing.

"Every year everyone really enjoys coming to this because it gets them out on the course, and it’s for a great cause," said Alford.  "They know just by being there and having fun, they’re also helping people in the community."

Alford said there are a lot of incentives to register.  The first place team wins $400, and one lucky winner will take home a $1,000 raffle prize.  He said the best reason to join a team is because all proceeds are used to provide relief to disaster victims.

"It will help families who have had fires and anyone that has lost their home," said Alford.  "We help with clothing, shelter and food."

The event will take place on June 22nd at Jaycees golf course.  For more information, call the Red Cross at (740) 452-2731.
