WHIZ Reporter Erika Brooks reports that damage from Friday night’s storm is city wide.

Firefighters have been out putting up caution tape where there are downed wires. Some roads remain impassable due to fallen trees blocking the roadways.

Military Road between Dresden Road and Linden Avenue is one of these roadways.

The Fieldhouse suffered extensive damage to its roof, losing almost half of it.

The storm knocked out power to several traffic lights around the city as well. Motorists are reminded to treat areas where traffic lights are out as four way stops.

Due to the strong winds Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Cooperative reports 10,800 members are without power including those served by Antrim, Bethel Church, Dresden, Mt. Sterling, Newcomerstown, Salt Fork and Senecaville. Substations and numberous line outages were caused by fallen and broken trees. Damage is wide spread and extensive.  It may be several days before all power is restored.
