Area golfers are teeing off for a good cause.
The Muskingum Valley Chapter of the Red Cross held its Disaster Relief Golf Outing at Jaycees golf course. Executive Director Marlene Henderson said 19 teams hit the green.
"The funds help the families in our five counties: Muskingum, Perry, Morgan, Guernsey and Noble Counties. For every family that has a fire, this money goes right back to help with their basic needs."
Henderson said the chapter has served almost 120 fire victims so far this year. This is the 23rd year for the golf outing.
"We have some wonderful prizes this year," said Henderson. "For that lucky person that gets a hole-in-one, they could win a car from Jeff Drennen Dealerships."
