Shelter Looking For New Executive Director

by George Hiotis on June 14, 2012

The Animal Shelter in Muskingum County is looking for a new Executive Director.  Shelter Board Director Stephanie Hill tells Whiz News that Larry Hostetler was terminated for financial concerns.  She says Hostetler did a great job while he was at the shelter, but the board felt there was a need to find new leadership with new ideas for fundraising.  Hostetler worked at the shelter for 8 years and was making 56,000 dollars and the board would like to hire someone between 40 and 45 thousand dollars.  Hill says while the search is underway for a new director Charity Sampson – the rescue coordinator – will oversee operations of the facility.
