Sheriff Searching For People Of Interest in Cambridge Homicide

The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the names of the victims involved in a double homicide Sunday morning near Cambridge. Sheriff Michael McCauley says 31-year-old Christopher and 25-year-old Justain Nelson of Cambridge both died from gunshot wounds. Morrison was a resident at Coventry Estates Apartments where the shooting took place. McCauley says deputies arrived and found Morrison dead on the front lawn. Nelson was found behind the same building suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center and later died. The Sheriff and his teams are investigating people of interest. "We’re following all the leads and there are many. Evidence was submitted to the lab as we speak and we’re following all the information that we’ve received and are receiving from the public in regards to this homicide investigation," said Sheriff McCauley McCauley says both victims were known to the local law enforcement community. He says the shooting could be drug related.
