You better start digging through your old coins and broken jewelry.

Treasure Hunters are in Zanesville inviting locals to bring in those types of items for purchase. Treasure Hunters see some of the world’s most rare and unusual collectibles and Zanesville didn’t disappoint.

"One customer in yesterday, we bought about a tenth of his collection of gold coin proof coins, platinum coins and we’re going to do more business in the future," said Keith A. Book Sr. from Treasure Hunters.

The rarity and condition of a piece is what sets it apart. History of the collectible is also important when determining its value and can lead to some interesting finds for the hunters.

"You get into the 1800s or even 1700s you think about what the world was like at that time, and it’s just really intriguing," said Book Sr.

Treasure Hunters will be in town through Saturday June 2nd until 4 p.m. at the Muskingum County Welcome Center.
