The Highway Patrol says Alcohol is a factor in a rollover accident that sent one person to the hospital.
Trooper Steven Williams of the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol said it happened around 4:30 p.m. on Newark Road near Zane State College. He said a Ford Taurus was traveling westbound at the time of the crash.
"Indications from the scene showed us that she swerved to miss something in the roadway, went off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned," said Williams.
Williams said the driver was the only person involved in the accident. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries. He said the woman will be cited for driving under the influence. A portion of Newark Road was closed as authorities investigated the crash.
