Authorities are looking for a Convicted Sex Offender.
45-year-old Mitchell Miller was convicted in Coshocton County back in 2002 for attempted gross sexual imposition with a victim under the age of 13 and for violating the conditions of his supervision and release from prison.
Detective Tim Matheney of the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office said it’s uncertain as to whether Miller is still in the area, but that hasn’t put a hault to the search for the fugitive.
"We haven’t had any contact with him at all. All the information that we have found in each search that we do often, usually once a month, sometimes bi-monthly something like that, we’ll do a search to see if he has any registered vehicle updates and we have nothing since that 2008 time period," said Matheney.
Miller is described as a white male, standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 175 lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes
Miller also has a scar above his right eye and his last known address was in Frazeysburg.
Matheney said it is possible with the passage of time that Miller’s appearance has changed.
"The last contact was 2008 so a lot of the features may have changed," Matheney said. "Obviously he’s a couple of years older now than any photograph that we have, he could have facial hair, he could have ball caps, he could be changing his complete description as we know it."
Anyone who sees Miller or a person fitting his description is urged to call authorities immediately.
The search for Miller is in partnership with Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine’s, "Crimes Against Children" initiative.
