The Tuesday noon Rotary Club in Zanesville had a special visitor Tuesday.
District Governor Michael Brown was in town to reinforce where rotary is going this year and to help the club with their various projects. This year’s theme is peace through service.
"Within Rotary, we all bring peace to various people within our community through the service that we provide. Whether it’s an individual, a group of people, an organization, or whatever so every club is involved with various pieces, so that’s part of our message today," said Brown.
Another part of the District Governor’s message was helping the club position itself in the community.
"So they understand their club’s particular position, their distinctive position, they are able to invite new people into the club as well as retain members in the club because they start to understand the true value proposition that the Club and Rotary brings to them, potential members and to the community," said Brown.
A goal this year is helping the club’s public image and awareness.
