When the fall hits you can find Matt Brown on the sidelines coaching the philo boys soccer team, trying to guide his electrics to an MVL title, but since last fall Brown has been fighting a different battle.

Brown was diagnosed with a parotid gland (salivary gland) tumor in the winter and his friends from high school and his opponents from his indoor soccer days went to work.

They orchestarted the Miles for Matt 5K today which was reduced to a mile run due to the heat but all proceeds go to Matt to help him fight his battle. The event had 66 runners and raised 3,715 dollars for the cause.
