Ohioans Continue Olympic Competition

We’re not going to give any results away, but we want to let you know how Olympians from Ohio are fairing during the London games.

Jacob Wukie is an archer from Oak Harbor. He has a silver medal as part of the archery team event.

Lebron James from Akron is part of Team USA basketball they face Tunisia on Tuesday.

Terrell Gausha is from Cleveland. He boxes August 2 to see if he can advance to the round of 16.

Rau’Shee Warren of Cincinnati is also a boxer. He fights in the bantamweight on August 3.

Scott Parsons is from Sylvania. He failed to qualify for the men’s kayak.

Anna Tunnecliff is part of Team USA women’s elliot 6 meter sailing team. They defeated Portugal on Monday but lost to Australia. Tuesday they sail against Finland and France.

Katie Bell from Upper Arlington dives in the 10m platform on August 8.

Abby Johnston won a silver medal in the 3m synchro dive. This is the first medal for Team USA in this sport. She is from Upper Arlington.

Lee Kiefer failed to medal in women’s foil fencing. She’ll have another chance as part of a team event. The USA fences against Korea on August 2.

Keli Smith is from Oxford and is a member of Team USA field hockey. They lost to Germany on Sunday. They play Australia on August 2.

Kayla Harrison is competing in judo. Her event is August 2.

Margot Shumway from Westlake takes part in the double sculls rowing events. They lost Monday and must win Tuesday in order to advance.

Peter Graves is part of Team USA quadruple sculls. They lost a repechage race on Monday and have been eliminated from competition. Graves is from Cincinnati.

Heather Mitts the defender for Team USA soccer is from Cincinnati. They play Korea on Tuesday.

Nick Thoman won a silver medal Monday in the 200 meter backstroke. He lost to Matthew Grevers of the United States.

Bridget Franek participates in women’s steeplechase on August 4.

Erik Kynark will take part in men’s high jump on August 4.

Kibwe Johnson will participate in men’s hammer throw on August 3.

A.G. Kruger will also take part in hammer throw on August 3.

Chantae McMillian will participate in the heptathon.

Tianna Madison will race in 100m swimming even on August 3. She is also a member of the 4×100 relay on August 9.

Holley Mangold will take part in 75k weight lifting on August 5. She is from Dayton.

Justin Lester is a greco-roman wrestler in the 66k. He competes August 12.

Tervel Dlagnev is taking part in freestyle wrestling 120k on August 11.
