Perry County wrapped up their fair Saturday.
The last day marks the end of a busy week. Final day activities include the sale of exhibitor’s animals, cleaning of the pens and packing up for home-finishing another successful year for families and clubs.
"The Fair pulls the community together, if nothing else. Everybody gets together, you see people you haven’t seen for a year. The County Fair accomplishes that. It also gives the kids the opportunity to show off their projects," said Mike Skinner, member of the Perry County Fair Board.
The end of the fair does not mean the work stops, for some exhibitors they’ve already began focusing on next year’s fair.
"Its the beginning as well as the end. They’re ending a project and a lot of the kids are thinking about what they’re going to do next year, some of them may have already started next year’s project," said Skinner.
The fair officially ends tonight with a truck and tractor pull at the main arena.
