The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 9 p.m. Monday night, Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office reported a vehicle pursuit on US 36 with a man considered armed and dangerous.
Before deputies arrived the suspect bailed out of his vehicle on Township Road 105 in Oxford Township. When deputies reached the scene they set up a perimeter around the area and began a search with other law enforcement officials from multiple agencies.
The suspect, 46-year-old Kenneth Swick, was arrested a short time later and taken to Coshocton County Memorial Hospital for police dog bites and then to the Coshocton County Justice Center.
The pursuit originally began in Harrison County where sheriff’s deputies said they cannot comment as to why Swick was being pursued.
Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office said the call came into them from Harrison County on a stolen vehicle report.
