The Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force says it has three men under arrest who are responsible for distributing large amounts of heroin in Perry County.
With assistance from the Columbus Police Department’s Strategic Response Bureau around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon the men were taken into custody at the Stelzer Market in Columbus.
Authorities say a surveillance team followed 34-year-old James Ratliff Junior of New Lexington from Perry County to Columbus. They say Ratliff then completed a drug deal with 34-year-old Joshua Clark and 28-year-old Jossie Ortiz, both of Columbus.
Detectives seized a half-kilo of heroin with a street value of $80,000. They also confiscated money and drug packaging equipment from a residence behind the market.
