Area businesses come together to network while enjoying some golf.

The Annual Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber-Jaycee’s Golf Outing was held at Jaycee Golf Club Friday. This is the 15th year for the outing. Each year it becomes more popular among local businesses.

"We went from 28 teams last year to 32 this year. I think people think it’s a nice event. Obviously the course is very nice and then the chance to just get out on a beautiful day and develop a business relationship with other businesses," said Dana Matz, Member Services Director of the Zanesville-Muskingum Chamber of Commerce.

All participants in the scramble were members of the Chamber of Commerce. The outing lets different local businesses interact while out on the course.

"Multiple businesses have multiple teams, that’s helped bump up the number and we just appreciate the support of the business community and the more we can do for them the better it is for the community as a whole," said Matz.

The teams also enjoyed lunch, dinner and beverages provided by local companies. Prizes were given for longest drive, closest to the pin and for first, second and third place.
