Mitt Romney’s tour bus made a stop in Zanesville Saturday for the grand opening of the Muskingum County Republican Party headquarters.

GOP Candidates and volunteers came to the ribbon cutting on Maple Avenue.

Before the ceremony, Representative Brian Hill addressed the crowd and said the focus of the election will come down to jobs and the economy.

"Voters want a President who has the experience to implement a pro-growth agenda to turn around the sluggish economy," said Hill.  "Mitt Romney’s record in business at the Olympics as Governor of Massachusetts proves that he has the experience to lead, implement reform and get the economy moving."

State Senator Troy Balderson said those who stop by the GOP headquarters can pick up yard signs and register to volunteer for the campaign.

He said that members of the party are staying upbeat, but Republicans still have a lot of work to do before November.

"Mindset is very positive, but we still have a lot of work to do and we’re going to continue to that work, and we have a plan in motion and we’re going to continue moving forward with that," said Balderson.

After the ceremony, volunteers worked the phone bank and made calls on behalf of the former Massachusetts Governor.
