A southeast Ohio bank will soon have another location in Zanesville.

North Valley Bank broke ground Tuesday on a new branch in front of Tractor Supply Company on Maple Avenue. The 35-hundred square foot building will have three drive thru teller lanes and a drive-up ATM. After acquiring the land several years ago, the Board of Directors now has the approval to begin the building process.

"It’s exciting this is a growing part of the community and we wanted to be here for a long time, we had some obstacles to overcome and we’ve overcome those and now we’re ready to start," said Fred O’Dell, President and CEO of North Valley Bank.

The Board of Directors and Executive Management attended the groundbreaking ceremony as did Mayor Jeff Tilton and Chamber of Commerce President Tom Poorman. A local construction company will handle the build.

"Tri-Y Construction is going to be the general contractor and Patt Kelly was the architect that designed the building for us," said O’Dell.

The bank will be completed by the end of this year or early 2013.
