Theater-goers packed the Zanesville Community Theater Sunday afternoon to see a Charles Dickens classic come to life.
The musical, "Oliver!" was presented this afternoon in front of a sold out crowd at the theater on Findley Avenue.
Director Sheryl Wise has been involved with the Zanesville Community Theater for over 30 years and said the company always opens auditions to the public.
"We encourage everyone to come over and audition. In fact we’ve got auditions for, "Singing in the Rain" coming up this evening and tomorrow night at 7 p.m.," said Wise." "This is our 50th season coming up, so we’re very excited about that, so lot’s of great things planned"
The show features a cast of over 50 performers and stars Ethan Wigal as "Oliver" as well as Steve Hendershott, Dave Kerr and Cory Burkhart.
Wise said tickets are still available, but they’re going fast.
"The show is absolutely sold out for this weekend and next Sunday as well, but we do have a few tickets for Thursday’s and Friday’s and Saturday’s performances at 7 o’clock, but I keep telling everybody, if you’re going to get your tickets, call now because I have this feeling that they’re going to be gone, too, " Wise added.
