A little rain couldn’t stop the Lorena Sternwheeler from making a trip down the river.
Every year the Knights of Columbus organize a dinner cruise for hospitalized veterans. Organizer Bill Moyer said the delicious meal keeps them coming back for more.
"Dinner is going to be mashed potatoes, chicken, noodles, peas and rolls with butter," said Moyer. "We enjoy doing it as much as these guys enjoy being here."
Moyer said it’s important to honor our veterans year-round, and all of them appreciate the support from the community.
"They took care of us and took care of our country," said Moyer. "That’s the big reason all of our volunteers are here today to give back to them, and I can see by the gentlemen here today that we have a really good group."
The Zanesville chapter of the Knights of Columbus put on the event at Zane’s Landing Park.
