Energy Summit Planned

The Zanesville Patriots hope an energy discussion will open the eyes of the voters this election.

This Saturday at Bryan Place members from different areas of Ohio will be speaking on issues such as coal, oil and gas. The purpose of the event is to inform Ohio voters about the importance of energy policy here in the United States.

"Without coal, oil and gas our country goes down. Coal is very, very important or your electric bill will be sky-high. It won’t matter who you are, independent, democrat, republican," said Zanesville Patriots President Kay Clymer.

The Energy Summit will focus on environmental activities such as fracking, drilling and the re-opening of coal mines in Ohio. Organizations such as Ohio Coal, Ohio Energy and the war on coal will be in attendance to provide the audience with serious concerns they have about the way energy is being handled in the country.

"We’re doing this because we do not want to leave a legacy for my children, your age group or my grandchildren a present of hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt," said Clymer.

Clymer invites the community come out to Bryan Place this Saturday at 9 a.m. to learn more.
