The Perry County Grand Jury has returned felony drug indictments against four people.
22-year-old Thomas Smith is facing four counts of trafficking in marijuana and 48-year-old Rhonda Delong is facing four counts of permitting drug abuse, one count of trafficking in marijuana, and one count of illegal possession of dangerous drugs. The two New Lexington residents were arrested after a search of Delong’s home at 8735 Marietta Road discovered illegal drugs, guns and money. Officers say a six-month-old child was home when drugs were distributed.
25-year-old Nicholas Laughton of Frazeysburg was indicted on two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs. Authorities say he was arrested after selling prescription medication to an undercover detective on two separate occasions in Thornville and Roseville.
And finally, 24-year-old Steven Finck was indicted for possession of heroin. Detectives with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force report seeing him purchase the drug at a Jackson Street home.
All four will appear before Judge Tina Boyer in Perry County Common Pleas Court later this month.
