An injury accident shuts down traffic on state route 146.
The two vehicle crash happened around 5:30 Wednesday evening at the intersection of 586 and 146.
"A maroon minivan was traveling Westbound on 146 when the white Ford Crossover attempted to make a left hand turn onto 146 in front of the minivan and was struck by the minivan," said Trooper Adam McKenzie with the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol.
The four occupants in the mini-van were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Crossover was transported to Licking Memorial Hospital also with non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic was backed up for over a mile in both directions on 146. The crash is still under investigation. No citations have been issued but Trooper McKenzie says the Crossover failed to yield at the stop sign.
