Make Your Interview Memorable

There’s a way to make your job interview one that will be memorable.

A job developer at the Muskingum County Opportunity Center said there are things everyone should do when out on a job interview and the most important is to research the company.

"You need to know before going into the interview a little bit about the company what their history is, what type of work they do, that type of thing," explained Job Developer Julie Metzger. "More than likely one of the questions you’re going to be asked is to tell me why you want to work for my company."

Metzger said along with practicing your answers to questions you should also give reasons why you’d be a good hire.

"You have to be able to give them examples," explained Metzger. "Give them examples of how you’ve done that specific job, throw numbers out there. Tell them you increased sales by 64 percent or whatever the case,  but give them specific answers to the question."

And when going to an interview make sure to take along a copy of your resume and any credentials you may need.
