Authorities in Perry County are investigating a meth lab discovered Monday afternoon.
Around 1 p.m. deputies arrived at 14975 Earl Place in Thornville to serve a warrant to a man living at the residence and discovered a meth lab inside of the residence.
Sergeant Keith Peck with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office said the man was arrested for the warrant and two others in the house were detained for questioning and could face charges in connection to the bust.
"The house was cleared, and we’ve got our meth lab response team here trying to clean it up and neutralize trying to make it safe for the public again," said Peck.
According to peck, three children live in the residence and one of those children was at home at the time of the discovery.
Children’s services has been called in and are actively working on the case.
The names of those arrested will not be released until formal charges are filed.
