Buckeye fans showed their support as college football kicks off.
Saturday was Ohio State’s home opener against Miami of Ohio and fans were excited to have college football back and see what new coach Urban Meyer has to offer this season.
"I’m looking forward to a great year under Urban Meyer’s first year, hoping it’s going to be exciting. We’ve been waiting a long time for this and here it is, and we’re ready to go," said Tom Ferraro.
Although the Buckeyes are facing a post-season ban and won’t be able to play in a bowl game this year, fans are still happy to cheer them on during the regular season..
"I’m just glad that they’re back and start playing. Doesn’t matter whether there’s a bowl game or not, because you can’t win every bowl game you play anyway. The only one that really counts is the National Championship, so it doesn’t really matter which one you get into in my opinion," said Dan Weinstock.
Ohio State went on to Beat the Redhawks 56 -10.
