A Dresden organization is doing its part to give back to the community.

The Old Steam & Gas Club presented a $600 check to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care in Zanesville.  Club President Tom Rollins said the proceeds are from an annual tractor drive.

"We always look for an agency that serves Muskingum County very well over the years," said Rollins.  "Although there are a multitude of them, we’ll choose others in the near future, because we’re going to keep this tractor drive going every year."

Rollins said the vote was unanimous to select Genesis as the recipient of the funds.  He said many of the members feel a personal connection to hospice care facilities.

"As we had our meeting, some of our members were thinking that hospice was there for my father or grandfather, so why don’t we give it to them this year?" said Rollins.

The club invites everyone to attend its annual show on September 29th and 30th at Gaumer Park in Adamsville.
