The Zanesville Patriots hosted an energy summit at Bryan Place Saturday.
Club president Kay Clymer says the group discusses environmental issues and the impact on Ohio.
"It’s all about energy. It’s about coal, electricity, the severance tax. What will happen to us. We were a top producer in the nation we are now down to the bottom, jobs are leaving," said Clymer.
Clymer says the event focused on how the upcoming election could affect energy prices.
"You cannot sit and not get out and vote. Oh, I forgot, or I don’t understand why and somebody asks you why are you voting this way or who should I vote for, you have to really have some concrete reasons, you have to understand why you’re voting for that."
