Turning Small Donations Into Big Savings

Elder-Beerman is continuing its partnership with Goodwill Industries to help those in the area.

Through Saturday, September 29th, you can bring in items to donate to Goodwill at the Elder-Beerman store in the Colony Square Mall.

Manager Annie Wolfer said the partnership has been in place since 1994 and those who donate will receive a 20% off coupon for nearly everything in the store.

"The coupons that they get are for things that are normally not on sale, like cosmetics and fragrances," said Wolfer. "They can save anywhere from 10%-20%."

Wolfer said despite its national affiliation, the donations received in town go right toward helping those with barriers to employment.

"It’s just great to be able to help out the community and to actually give something back and the customers like doing that because they help out and then they can get coupons and then treat themselves to something for them," added Wolfer.

Bon-ton Stores, Inc., which owns Elder-Beerman, also partners with Goodwill stores across the country.
