An area fundraiser will benefit a child who was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer.

Baby Jacks Rock, Rock and Blues will take place at Jack Havanas Saturday. All proceeds will benefit Michael and Casey Curry as their 17-month old son, Jackson undergoes chemotherapy for a cribriform tumor. Penny Greene, is Casey’s cousin and she was more than happy to lend a helping hand to her family.

"I think family should stick together. Secondly anytime it involves a child whether or not it’s family or not I just. You hate to see a child go through something like this," said Greene.

The fundraiser begins at 1:30 and lasts until 11 p.m. Several bands will play throughout the evening including Phil Dirt and the Dozers. A live auction will start at 8 p.m, where guests will have a chance to win a cruise for two. Admission is a ten dollar donation, and VIP seating for $250 will be available that day.
