More than one hundred works of art will fill Bryan Place Friday night.

COZ Art Matters 2012, a benefit for the Artist Colony of Zanesville will be held there from from 8 until 11 p-m. Twelve artists will be displaying a variety of their work.

"From a realistic painting to abstract turned wood pieces to more of the modern contemporary type of art," said Susan Stubbins of Studio 202.

All artwork on display will be available for purchase. Local artist Aaron Chandler’s painting, "Light On the Water" will be raffled off at the end of the evening. This benefit acts as a showcase for artists who are becoming more popular in the community.

"The mission statement of the artists colony is help create a community of artists and to work with that community for places for them to show their works," said Stubbins.

Tickets are $30 per person, $35 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Bryan Place, the Welcome Center or from any Artist Colony member.
