The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is promoting the remaining 2012 schedule of the Lorena Sternwheeler.
90-minute public rides are being offered only seven more times throughout the month of October along with a dinner and a twilight cruise.
Chamber of Commerce Vice President Kelly Ashby said with the seasons changing, travelers and tourists can take in the fall colors and atmosphere in a unique way in their own backyard.
"It’s a great family adventure, it’s a wonderful couples getaway, great place to take a date, absolutely," said Ashby. "It’s fun for everyone."
The Sternwheeler weighs nearly 60 tons and can carry about 70 passengers up and down the Muskingum River.
Ashby said guests come in from out of state to take the once in a lifetime ride.
"We’ve had a wonderful season," added Ashby. "We’ve had a lot of out of town guests take advantage of the dinner cruises and the public rides and we have wonderful community folks that have done a lot of charters this past season as well."
The Lorena Sternwheeler will officially wrap up its season on October with two fall foliage rides at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
