A special dog is waiting for adoption. Philly, a five year old female heeler mix is ready to go to her forever home. If Philly doesn’t look like the dog for you, there’s plenty of others waiting at the shelter.

"We always have a variety of all kinds of breeds of dogs, ages of dogs pretty much anything that you’d be interested in probably we have it here or will have it in the near future," said Jody Murray, Animal Shelter Executive Director.

In order to keep their adoption and spay and neuter fees low, the shelter is holding multiple fundraisers. Every Thursday until January 1st, Ruby Tuesday will be providing a percentage of their of their sales to the shelter.

"We’d like for people is to go on our facebook page print out a coupon and then just take that in and they tabulate that and provide the funds to us."

Also coming up on the 13th of October — Applebees will be doing a pancake breakfast from eight until ten. Tickets are $5 per person.
