One local restaurant is hoping to bring the community together for a good cause.

Papa Chuck’s Restaurant and Catering Services is home to Slice of Hope 2012, an event designed to raise money for the Karen Mullen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Twenty percent of every meal Papa Chuck’s sells will go to help the foundation. On top of that, one hundred percent of the first fifteen strip steak sales will go to help the foundation.

Hayley Watson is a Papa Chuck’s employee, and says this event is special to her because she has a good friend battling breast cancer

" It has affected her, her family, her kids, and I see this every day of how she copes with the chemo and everything and it’s just amazing how everything can affect you and it’s something I don;t want to go through," said Watson.

Watson says she hopes to see the tables full, and hopes others are touched by the stories of survivors.

"It touched me just to see her out there with this big smile on her face she has hope, she has hope for life, and that’s what we are here to do is we hope we can do something to cure this disease," said Watson.
