Earlier today the OHSAA released their final official rankings for this season’s playoffs. For the first time ever the Maysville Panthers will be a part of the week 11 festivities but they will face a perennial state power on the road. Maysville earned the number six seed in Division III Region 11 but will be heading out on the road to take on the Big Red in Death Valley.

In Division II Region 7, Tri-Valley for the second consecutive year is hosting a playoff game, but for the first time in school history they are 10-0 and the number one seed in the region. The Scotties will see a familiar opponent as they will once again host Tecumseh. The Arrows lost to the Scotties last year at Jack Anderson Stadium 48-30 after Austin Jones ran wild in the second half.

Staying in that same region, the Zanesville Blue Devils will host for the first time in school history. Their reward for a great season is Canal Winchester, who will come to Sulsberger Stadium this Friday are sporting an 8-2 record and have won seven games in a row. The Blue Devils are coming off back to back blow out wins, and are hoping to become one of the few Zanesville teams to ever reach the ten win mark.

For Rosecrans the season didn’t end the way coach Scott Moyer and his Bishops would have liked but none the less they still find themselves heading for week 11 in back to back years. The Bishops also have some history with their first round opponent Symmes Valley. Back when Moyer was a senior the Bishops traveled to the Vikings home field and were beaten 16-6. This time the roles are reversed and now Moyer is the man in charge of the whole team not just the offense.

Below are the official parings, sites, and times for games involving area teams.
