One pot bust leads to another in Perry County on Tuesday.
Sheriff William Barker said detectives with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and deputies from the Perry County Sheriff’s Office shut down two indoor marijuana grow operations at separate residences in Perry County.
The first location was at 4137 Pike Township Road 221 in New Lexington. Detectives seized approximately 10 pounds of marijuana from this residence including grow equipment. There was also evidence to support that this grow operation was occurring in front of a 3-year-old child.
Evidence seized from that location led detectives to 4038 Dutch Ridge Road in New Straitsville where detectives seized a total of 285 marijuana plants and equipment from the basement of the house.
A male was arrested in connection with both grow operations and faces felony drug charges. His name is not being released at this time pending formal charges.
