A Rosecrans graduate is doing her part to feed hungry children around the world.
Breana Kelly created We Serve Eats to provide meals to those in need. With the help of Cincinnati-based company, Kids Against Hunger, nearly two-hundred volunteers made 70,000 meals today at Rolling Plains United Methodist Church.
"It’s not something everybody thinks about everyday. It’s kind of humbling to think about all of these kids who don’t have anything and make a difference in their lives from far away, " said Kelly.
The meals contain about 75 percent of the nutrition that a child needs every day. The food will be packaged and distributed locally and globally.
"Some of the meals will stay at Salvation Army, Christ’s Table and the Lifewell on West Main Street here in Zanesville. Some of them will stay here and others will go out to Africa or Haiti or various other places."
Breana says she plans to continue serving her community. She wants to visit Liberia after graduating from Ohio State.
