An eighty-four year old woman celebrated a milestone most wouldn’t expect.

Surrounded by friends and family Jerri Stemm celebrated her 60th year at Miba bearings in McConnelsville, oddly enough Stemm never even applied to work at the manufacturing plant.

"I was working in a restaurant and three of the fellas, supervisors always ate there and they came in one morning and said here fill this paper out, and I said what’s that and they said you’re coming up there to work and I said I don’t know whether I want to or not and they said yeah you are," said Stemm.

A lot of the time during her decades long career, Stemm worked seven days a week, twelve hours a day. She says what kept her working there for so long are the people, and she doesn’t expect to stop working anytime soon.

"I told them I’d work as long as the dear Lord lets me and I think they’re going to let me do it," said Stemm.

After working every position at Miba Stemm has settled in at file inspection.
