A check presented to Christ’s Table in Zanesville could provide up to a month of meals for those in need.

More than $2000 was donated to the non-profit organization by Forest View in Zanesville. Employees donated money and vacation time to help raise the funds.

"We were just blown away by how generous that company is." said Keely Warden, Christ’s Table Executive Director. "It’s nice to get a company donation, but when you hear that the employees of that company have gone together and given their vacation time and done little fundraisers, it really warms your heart to know that they’re that generous."

Warden says the donation couldn’t have come at a better time.

"We had a really rough September and October here at Christ’s Table, our financial donations were down, so when you have a company that calls you on Monday morning and says "we’re going to do something for you" it sure makes November a lot easier." she said.

Warden says the check should be able to feed approximately 350 people a day, six days a week, for an entire month.
