The Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra is helping families get into the holiday spirit.

On Thursday the orchestra will play its annual holiday concert at Secrest Auditorium. The concert is a fun and exciting way for people to ring in the holiday season.

"It is a great event, if you want to get into the Holiday spirit. It’s a great event for families and of course Santa is coming. So you can actually during intermission bring the kids to visit Santa as well so we’ve got it all and your best most favorite music, " said  Laura E. Schumann of the Southeastern Ohio Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets are free with a food donation that will benefit Christ’s Table. They can be picked up at several locations including Primrose Retirement Community, Jeff Drennen Super Store and Secrest Auditorium.

" We have several printed but I understand quite a few have already gone out so you do, it would be wise to go for it because we do want you to have that ticket in hand when you come to the door, I don’t think we’ve ever turned anyone away," said Schumann.

The concert will start at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Those who attend will also be able to purchase items that will support the orchestra.
