Dentists Help Christ’s Table

Two local dentists are giving back to the community through their work.

Dr. Furhiman and Dr. Williams on Brandywine Boulevard are offering a cleaning package or tooth extraction for twenty-five dollars on December 7th. The open clinic day was created to help those around Zanesville.

"The community has been so great to us for a number of years and so last year we kind of put our heads together as an office staff and realized there certainly is a need for dentistry to be done for those that are less fortunate or perhaps can’t afford good care," said Dr. Scott Williams, DDS.

All proceeds from the dental visits will be donated to Christ’s Table. The dentist’s office will match what they earn. Last year, four thousand dollars was given to Christ’s Table, but that’s not all the office is doing to help the food pantry.

"As part of this as well, Dr. Furhiman who serves as a bishop on one of the local units here in Zanesville is also going to arrange that we’re going to have a thousand dollars worth of food delivery the following day on Saturday given to Christ’s Table," said Dr. Williams.

The office will be open from 7 a-m until 2 p-m. To schedule an appointment call (740) 454-1167

Walk-ins are also welcome.
