Kick off your holiday shopping and help your favorite charity this Sunday.

For every dollar you spend at the Colony Square Mall between 4 and 6 p.m. a point is earned for the charity of your choice during this year’s Festival of Giving.

"Colony Square has a $5,000 dollar pot out there and they’re going to break these dollars up between the agencies that are participating during the day and for every dollar that you spend, Christ’s Table will get a point and then percentage wise they’ll break the $5,000 dollars up among the agencies," said Christ’s Table Executive Director, Keely Warden.

The Festival of Giving couldn’t come at a better time of the year, right when charities are needing the extra support.

"It’s a great thing with the holidays coming up, with Thanksgiving coming up and Christmas coming up. Our numbers are always up, it’s cold our numbers are already up because everyone’s coming in to get a hot meal so this is a great opportunity for us," said Warden.

Participating charities include Christ’s Table, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Zanesville, Catholic Social Services, Muskingum Valley Y, the Salvation Army, Eastside Community Ministries and the Alfred S. Carr Center.
