An annual event celebrates the season of giving in Southeastern Ohio.
This Saturday, November 10, the Zanesville Jaycee’s present C-day. The day is a way to collect clothing, toys, canned food and other gently used items, that will be donated to the Salvation Army to help families in Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties.
"Our whole goal at the Zanesville Jaycees is to support the community," explained member Dave Mortimer. "We know that around the holidays and throughout the rest of the year people need these types of items and we feel that there’s people out there that want to donate that can’t get out of their home to take things to the Salvation Army."
Those looking to donate can do so by calling WHIZ and a Jaycee’s member will be here to answer your call.
"it’s very simple. Pick up the phone starting at 8a.m., call the radio station here at WHIZ and tell us your address and that’s it. We’ll be there to pick up your items. We just ask that they be bagged up or placed outside somewhere where we can see them, " said Mortimer.
Z92 will be playing Christmas music that morning to get everyone in the holiday spirit. The event runs from 8a.m. to 12p.m. To donate items call (740)452-5431
