Preparing for the General Election

The November General Election is just a few hours away. For those who are waiting until Tuesday to fill out their ballot, the polls will open at 6:30 in the morning and will close at 7:30 at night. The Muskingum county Board of Elections spent most of Monday preparing for the big day.

"[Monday] is the day that presiding judges of each precinct are coming into the office and picking up their supplies and taking them to that location for election day." said Hamill.

A little over 14,000 people have already voted in our area. Hamill says when you vote, it’s important you bring the proper identification with you.

"If you have not moved you can go to your current polling location, and you will have to display some form of I.D. that has your current name and address." she explained.

If you have moved, you can go to the Board of Elections Tuesday and change your address and vote at the precinct, otherwise you need to go to your correct polling location. If you are unsure where your precinct is located, you can call the Board of Elections at 740-455-7120
