For the second year in a row Snouffer Funeral Home in Zanesville will take part in "Wreaths Across America".

Twenty years ago a wreath company in Maine decided to send their extra holiday wreaths to Arlington National Cemetary, where they were placed on military headstones. Since then the event has evolved to incorporate cemetary locations all across the nation, including Zanesville Memorial Park.

"It gives the citizens time to honor those who have served our country, who remember their sacrifice, and also teach future generations the sacrifices that have been made by our men and women in military." said Brad McCune of Snouffer Funeral Home.

The wreaths cost $15 and can be purchased at Snouffer Funeral Home until november 20th . The Wreaths Across America ceremony will take place at noon on December 15th.

"That service will coincide with the services all across the united states at the same time, being take part in various location and cities." said McCune

Even if your veteran isn’t buried in Zanesville Memorial Park you can still purchase a wreath to put at their gravesite. Seven ceremonial wreaths will be laid. For those interested in taking part in the ceremony, you can call Snouffer Funeral Home at 740-450-8000
