The Veteran’s Building at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds overflowed with people and crafts.
For over 10 years the Muskingum County Agricultural Society has sponsored a Christmas Bazaar and Flea Market. They’ve watched it grow over the years to now include more than 100 vendors. One organizer shared his reason why the event is so successful.
"I think it’s because we let anybody come in with whatever craft they might have," said VP of the Muskingum Agricultural Society Bill Agin. "It might be artists that do things at home, but whatever they do they come in and sell it."
Money raised by the event goes back towards the operation of the fairgrounds.
"A lot of people think that this belongs to Muskingum County, but it doesn’t,’ explained Agin. "It’s the agriculture society, so that’s what the money goes towards to help us keep the grounds, buildings and etceteras."
The bazaar featured everything from sewing to crafts to baked goods. It runs until 3p.m. Saturday, December 8.
