Supporting our area businesses boosts the local economy.

On Saturday shoppers had the opportunity to cross some items off of their Christmas lists.  Chandlersville United Methodist Church hosted its One Stop Christmas Shop.  Vendors set up tables with the goal of attracting new customers.  Deanna Sheppard said she’s excited to launch her new jewelry business.

"They make nice gifts for anybody like teachers, friends or aunts," said Sheppard.  "There are several different colors to pick from.  We have hair bows, headbands, necklaces, bracelets and rings."

Shannon Reed had a unique booth at the event.  She sells items exclusively for women, including lingerie and spa products.

"This is my first actual vendor event," said Reed.  "I’ve been doing this since February.  We can do home based parties or we can do just simple get-togethers.  We also do coed parties or just regular girls nights out.  I do bachelorette parties as well."

Volunteers sold raffle tickets and baked goods to benefit the church.
