In addition to receiving gifts Saturday morning, patients were also given a treat in the form of song…

The Zanesville High School Concert Choir traveled the halls of Good Samaritan Hospital, singing some traditional holiday carols. All of the choir members agreed to volunteer their free time, in order to spread some christmas cheer.

"It gives us the opportunity to give… Because, I mean, a lot of times you see people getting so hyped up about the holidays, it’s good to just sit down and give back to those who need it. I’m sure if i were in this situation, I would want someone to do this for me, so, I’m glad to do what I’m doing here today," said choir member Brandon Douglas.

Many of the students say taking part in this opportunity gives a deeper meaning to the christmas traditions of their own families.

"Well we always sit around the tree and sing songs, so it’s really nice to come here and sing for people that don’t really have family with them at the time," said choir member Ashonda Underwood.

Santa Claus also took some time out of his busy schedule to make a special appearance Saturday morning.
