The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is extending its nominating period for this year’s awards for community and economic success.

The ACES awards are meant to celebrate the economic growth and development that occurred in the community in the last year. Any business that experienced accomplishments in 2012 has the chance to have their successes recognized at the Chamber’s spring break event in March.

"This is a great way to tell our success stories and promote that and get the word out. It does illustrate a place where businesses can grow and do well," said Chamber of Commerce President, Tom Poorman.

There are a variety of ways for businesses to earn an ACES award. New businesses and existing businesses alike have been recognized in the past.

"Most of the businesses are existing businesses that have made some kind of reinvestment. We do recognize new businesses, opening a new business is one way you qualify for an ACES award," said Poorman.

There is no deadline on when businesses can nominate themselves. Visit WWW.ZMCHAMBER.COM to fill out the online form.
