The Muskingum Family Y is asking the public to choose this year’s Women of Achievement.
This is the 25th year for the program which recognizes exceptional women in the community. There are several categories to nominate for. Business, education and health care are just a few. There is even a category for young women in Muskingum County.
"What we call the Bright Futures which is through the Muskingum County Youth Foundation. The Bright Futures is for 18 and younger, typically a senior in high school," said Muskingum Family Y CEO, Craig Miracle
Nominations will be accepted through February 19th. Those nominated must either work or live within Muskingum County. Miracle wants those who vote to keep in mind one thing when nominating someone.
"I think the biggest thing is just thinking about someone who has maybe had an impact in your life or you know that has made a difference, a lot of times with our recipients, the first thing they’ll say is I really don’t deserve this and most of them are very deserving."
The recognition banquet will be held April 18th at North Terrace Church of Christ. Nomination forms are available at the Y in Littick Hall at OU-Z’s campus, they are also available on the Muskingum County Y website, www.mcmfy.org
