Fanatic’s Starts Hiring Process

There has been a lot of talk the past few months regarding the new business coming to Muskingum County.

Fanatics, a sportswear company started their initial process of hiring new full time employees today. Hundreds of local job hunters headed to the Muskingum Opportunity Center in hopes for a future job.

 Supervisor of Muskingum Opportunity Center, Bob Mercer said, "and we’re happy to say we have taken 300 applications as of 1 o’clock today. And actually had pre-screening interviews with staff mark representatives for a 103 of those applications so far. "

The permanent positions are in the divisions of inventory control and picking and packing. The individuals being pre-screened by Staff Mark, the staffing agency for Fanatics, are those with previous experience with the equipment used in the perspective jobs.

"They would like to have some experience in warehouse distribution and again specifically working with the technology they work with in the warehouses, which involves a scanner. A hand scanner, that kind of thing it they have had that experience within the last 6 months to 2 years, that would be very helpful. "

If you are interesting in applying, the interview process continues tomorrow at the Muskingum Opportunity Center from 9 AM to 4 PM. However, the center stopped taking applicants around 2 PM today, so plan to get there earlier than later tomorrow.
